Cutoff voltage
VOLTAGE AT WHICH A BATTERY IS CONSIDERED FULLY DISCHARGED, BEYOND WHICH FURTHER DISCHARGE COULD CAUSE HARM
Cut-off voltage; Low-voltage-cutoff
In electronics, the cut-off voltage is the voltage at which a battery is considered fully discharged, beyond which further discharge could cause harm. Some electronic devices, such as cell phones, will automatically shut down when the cut-off voltage has been reached.
Voltage source
ELECTRICAL ELEMENT WHICH MAINTAINS A FIXED VOLTAGE ACROSS ITS TWO TERMINALS, REGARDLESS OF CURRENT
Rubber zener; Ideal voltage source; Controlled voltage source; Constant-voltage power supply; Dependent voltage source; Constant voltage source
A voltage source is a two-terminal device which can maintain a fixed voltage. An introduction to electronics An ideal voltage source can maintain the fixed voltage independent of the load resistance or the output current.
CPU core voltage
TERM
VCore; CPU Core Voltage; CPU voltage; Intel VRT; Vcore; Dual-voltage CPU; Core voltage; Single-voltage CPU; VDDCORE; VccCORE; VddCORE; VDD Core; VCC Core; VCORE
The CPU core voltage (VCORE) is the power supply voltage supplied to the CPU (which is a digital circuit), GPU, or other device containing a processing core. The amount of power a CPU uses, and thus the amount of heat it dissipates, is the product of this voltage and the current it draws.
Voltage-sensitive dye
  • Pioneers of voltage-sensitive dyes: A. Grinvald, L.B. Cohen, K. Kamino, B.M. Salzberg, W.N. Ross; Tokyo, 2000
Potentiometric dyes; Voltage sensitive dyes; Potentiometric dye; Voltage sensitive dye; Voltage-sensitive dye imaging
Voltage-sensitive dyes, also known as potentiometric dyes, are dyes which change their spectral properties in response to voltage changes. They are able to provide linear measurements of firing activity of single neurons, large neuronal populations or activity of myocytes.
Static timing analysis
SIMULATION TECHNIQUE IN COMPUTER HARDWARE DESIGN
Timing analysis; Fast model analysis; Slow model analysis
Static timing analysis (STA) is a simulation method of computing the expected timing of a synchronous digital circuit without requiring a simulation of the full circuit.

<hardware> (LVD) A method of driving SCSI cables that will be formalised in the SCSI-3 specifications. LVD uses less power than the current differential drive (HVD), is less expensive and will allow the higher speeds of Ultra-2 SCSI. LVD requires 3.3 Volts DC instead of 5 Volts DC for HVD. Low-voltage differential signaling
  • FPD Link I serializer

TECHNICAL STANDARD
LVDS; Low Voltage Differential Signaling; Low Voltage Differential; Low-voltage differential signalling; MLVDS; Low voltage differential signaling; EIA-644; TIA-644; TIA/EIA-644
Low-voltage differential signaling (LVDS), also known as TIA/EIA-644, is a technical standard that specifies electrical characteristics of a differential, serial signaling standard. LVDS operates at low power and can run at very high speeds using inexpensive twisted-pair copper cables.
timing
DOING SOMETHING AT A CERTAIN TIME
Timing (song)
1.
Timing is the skill or action of judging the right moment in a situation or activity at which to do something.
His photo is a wonderful happy moment caught with perfect timing...
N-UNCOUNT: usu supp N
2.
Timing is used to refer to the time at which something happens or is planned to happen, or to the length of time that something takes.
The timing of the minister's visit, however, could somewhat detract from the goodwill it's supposed to generate.
N-UNCOUNT: usu N of n

Voltage-dependent anion channel
INTERPRO FAMILY
Voltage-dependent anion channels; VDAC
Voltage-dependent anion channels, or mitochondrial porins, are a class of porin ion channel located on the outer mitochondrial membrane. There is debate as to whether or not this channel is expressed in the cell surface membrane.

Fully automatic time

Fully automatic time (abbreviated FAT) is a form of race timing in which the clock is automatically activated by the starting device, and the finish time is either automatically recorded, or timed by analysis of a photo finish. The system is commonly used in track and field as well as athletic performance testing, horse racing, dog racing, bicycle racing, rowing and auto racing. In these fields a photo finish is used. It is also used in competitive swimming, for which the swimmers themselves record a finish time by touching a touchpad at the end of a race. In order to verify the equipment, or in case of failure, a backup system (typically manual) is usually used in addition to FAT.
